Formula 1 2025 season:

1. Australian Grand Prix - Melbourne:
15/03/2025 - Quali:
Live session notes: BORTOLETO ON Q2!!!!!! VAMOOOO BRASIL!!! Shame he lost it on his last Q2 lap, the kid's good enough to have gotten an 11th or something. Q3 would've been impossible lol but this is good enough. Lawson out very soon, the seat is cursed. Antonelli out sooner than I expected as well, but it was for my boy, so it's fine. Redbull looks tough to control, both Max and Liam were kinda fighting with the wheel on the onboards, hopefully this means we'll have a real battle this year. Rooting hard for Ferrari, but McLaren look like the most likely to win tomorrow. To be fully honest, I like Oscar more, but my bet is on Norris, he seems like the better driver to me so far. Max is capable of being fast on a shopping cart, goddamn. Albon has a better time than Sainz! Didn't think that would happen, but it makes plenty of sense. And yup, Norris got it lol, Oscar will have to try and get his chance tomorrow. I hope it rains, and we get a banger race right away. Lando seems to have really matured since last year, it should be a good season. Ferrari really dropped the ball today :( hopefully tomorrow they'll get a nice spot.

16/03/2025 - Race:
Review: Weird ass race lol. Couldn't tell where anyone is, both driver and team comparisons are impossible to make under these conditions. It kept raining, then stopping, then raining again, a LOT of people DNF'ed, Ferrari was Ferrari, Mercedes was better than I thought, McLaren look like they are going to dominate in China (next GP), RedBull has only one car as always and Max only turned on his robot mode on the last few laps, so no P1 for him. Albon and Hulkenberg did amazing, and the Haas look like the new Sauber, but we'll see. Gabriel was holding on well until he spun :( hopefully the next GP will be better for him. I was very reluctant to fall on the Antonelli hype (still kind of am) but he had a superb race, it'd be surprising if he dind't win - or at least contend for - a WDC in a few years. Next stop, Chinese Grand Prix.

2. Chinese Grand Prix - Xangai
21/03/2025 - Sprint Quali:
Hamilton on pole!! Hopefully this is a good omen for Ferrari, given that Leclerc wasn't too far behind, at P4. Yuki did amazing, and hopefully Lawson is just finding his groove. I still think he should've gotten another year at VCARB, he didn't have what it took to go to RB imo, but I don't wish any ill on the boy, truly hope he gets over this and does well tomorrow. Bortoleto is a good deal ahead of Hulk again! Hopefully he shines tomorrow in the sprint race. McLaren looks fast, but both Norris and Piastri still make plenty of mistakes you don't see Hamilton or Verstappen making (with them going off track today and in the Aus GP). I could be wrong, but I think the car is fast enough that it won't hurt their championship chances too much, but still, it's something that could spice up the year. Norris shoul've gotten pole today if it wasn't for an error, after all, so who knows.

16/03/2025 - Sprint race + quali + main race:
Writting a thing for every element may be too much lol, I was too optimistic. For Ferrari, it was a very high high and then a very low low, I can't belive this. From go from a sprint win to a double DSQ is a joke, this damn team man. Still root for them of course, but it's rough out here, fellas. Bortoleto was pretty good all things considered, shame he spun so soon, but it's impressive how he caught up to Hulk even with a huuuuge gap. So it's a zero sum I guess, off to hoping for Japan to be better. That Piastri win though? Awesome as hell. Really like the guy, and he was the first driver I was aware of since the feeder series (in his case, F2), so I truly hope a championship will come his way someday.
